January 19, 2012 (Hillside, NJ) - Looking to ramp up their board game offerings after their recent hits: Quarriors, Mage Knight and Star Trek titles, WizKids Games announced today that they are looking for up and coming freelance board game designers and developers to work on some of the most exciting games in the industry.   Do you (or a team) have at least one (1) game publicly available for review?  Please send us links to games you’ve been a part of (do not send us any unreleased games you deem proprietary) and a little bit about yourself to XXXXXX@XXX.XXX


If selected to participate as a designer you will be given a licensed property to write a concept game pitch. If successful you will be asked to provide playable prototypes. If you’re a selected developer you’ll work with us to ensure the game is polished, balanced and ready for market.  If you’re selected for both, even better!


If successful - you will work on some of the most exciting licenses in the industry, you’ll gain valuable real world experience/feedback, the satisfaction of your work being published and a little money in your pocket.

Heroes & Monsters includes 40 beautifully prepainted miniatures perfect for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game or any other fantasy RPG, and offers a wide range of adventurers and villainous monsters for fans of quality fantasy miniatures.

Wow, what a week! With most of the office staff returning from Essen in Germany there have been some recent developments we wanted to share with you all.

Schedule Updates: 

Firstly, with so many exciting products due out in the next two months, let's start with some schedule updates:

  • Pathfinder: Beginners 4 pc. Box Set will release on November 16th, 2011

  • Quarriors: Rise of the Demons will release on November 9th, 2011

  • Lord of the Rings HeroClix: 24 ct. Countertop Display and Starter sets will release on November 23rd, 2011

  • Marvel HeroClix: The Incredible Hulk 24 ct. Countertop display will release on November 30th, 2011

  • Mage Knight Board Game will release on December 7th, 2011

  • Marvel HeroClix: The Incredible Hulk Booster set and Fast Forces pack will release on December 14th, 2011


Eagle-eyed viewers will notice the absence of the Star Trek Expeditions: Expansion Pack from the above list.  Unfortunately we were not happy with the quality of the product we received from the vendor, thus we've decided to push back the release of the product to Q1 2012.  Our apologies to everyone on the delay but fear not, Scotty, Sulu, and Chekov will be beaming down to join your Away Team soon enough!

 Infinity Gauntlet

Since the initial announcement earlier this month, close to 800 Venues worldwide have already registered with us for this exciting and unprecedented event!  While we've decided to extend our registration deadline until Wednesday, November 30th, 2011, make  sure your Venue registers today! Stay tuned as we reveal more in the weeks to come, but in the meantime more details can be found on the Infinity Gauntlet website.

A One-Robot Army!

Last but certainly not least, we wanted to share something really special with everyone and we know that this character has long been a fan favorite of many HeroClix players.  While it's s till al little early to share the dial, the sculpt is just so impressive that we just had to share it with you all! Ready to join his Sentinel brethren and lead them to victory against their mutant foes, here is Master Mold! (click on image to enlarge)
